Tuesday, February 16, 2010 - Just after 3pm Tuesday, the building fire was struck for 222 Wiltshire Road bringing companies 36(Cardington-Stonehurst), 37(Upper Darby), Engine 26(Highland Park), & RIT 74(Primos-Secane). As units went responding, Fireboard advised that police were on location with heavy smoke showing and possible entrapment. Engine 36-2 arrived first reporting a 2-story middle of the row with smoke & fire showing on the first floor, laid a 3-1/2" supply line, and went in service with an 1-3/4" handline. UD-11 arrived assuming command and quickly requested RIT 20 due to the first in RIT being put in service for search and ventilation. Rescue 20 made the response, under the command of Deputy Chief Mike Morgan(20-9A). The rescue crew was split, half standing by as the RIT and half performing extensive overhaul. The fire was placed under control within 30 minutes with primary & secondary searches negative. Rescue 20 was inservice for just under an hour before returning to station.
